(Please note that this role is office-based in Dublin 2).
The Role:
Corrigan and Corrigan are seeking to recruit a Solicitor. We offer a niche, specialist insurance, advisory and defence litigation service to the insurance industry, private clients and the public sector. We have an unsurpassed reputation for solving complex issues and a proud history of being trusted expert legal advisors. The successful candidate will be involved in a broad range of interesting work across all the courts.
Candidate Requirements:
3+ years post qualification
Good experience in insurance and defence litigation with excellent knowledge of litigation procedures and practices
A proven ability to build and maintain strong relationships with clients and third party contacts at all levels
Ability to handle a high volume and fast-paced workload
Knowledge of the PIAB process
Proficient use of Keyhouse/electronic case management systems and other IT applications
Experience with liaising with clients, dealing with incoming correspondence from clients, agents and solicitors
Hands-on experience and in-depth knowledge of District/Circuit/High Court litigation processes and procedures; preparing for and attending court with counsel for preliminary applications and trials
Liaising with counsel and experts as appropriate
Reporting to supervising partner
Compiling and preparation of internal statistical reports
The ideal candidate:
Self motivated and hard-working, with the ability to manage both their own caseload and work as part of a team
A good writer with excellent attention to detail
Well-organised with good IT skills
An excellent communicator with negotiation and decision making skills
Proactive in knowledge development and has a good awareness of current trends and decisions in the area of insurance litigation
Understands the importance of client development, and content creation (writing and presenting relevant articles or papers to be published online, or presented to clients as CPD).
